Fall is much welcomed in Chicago after the heat of the summer sun. Colorful falling leaves and crisp fresh air wraps us up as we celebrate the changing of the seasons! So get ready to find your coziest sweaters and harvest some family fun with these fall activities!
Find a local spot to pick out some apples! They usually offer fun activities and the whole family will have a great time choosing their favorite varieties. Pack a small basket or tote bag to be filled by your little one. You just can’t beat the taste of a freshly picked apple!
Red Tricycle has a great list of apple picking spots, click here to check them out!
Make a chore into something more! Spend an afternoon raking leaves with the family. Rake all the leaves into a pile and let your little ones have fun jumping in it, then do it all over again! When you’re both tired out, pick out one or two leaves to compare up close while indoors.
Spend an evening with your family and friends around the fire. Tell stories, sing songs, make s’mores, and have some hot cider or hot chocolate. It will be a fun night for everyone! For more information, click on the event to follow their link.
